Asus ROG Swift PG278Q

4.0
Pros: Sharp WQHD image. Excellent gaming performance. Fully adjustable stand. Cool gamer-centric features
Cons: Only one video input. So-so viewing-angle performance. Skewed greens
Verdict: In order to stay competitive, most gaming enthusiasts will outfit their PC's with powerful graphics cards capable of insane frame rates. Cruising along at 60 frames per second (fps) is all well and good, but if your monitor can't keep pace with your GPU, you may end up with motion artifacts that...

Review: ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q

4.2
Verdict: G-SYNC is Nvidia's new proprietary technology, built into select new gaming screens. It forces the display to be a slave to the graphics card, only updating the screen when the graphics card has a new frame ready for it.

Pros: good brightness, good contrast, simple design, 144 Hz and G-Sync
Cons: expensive, low brightness uniformity and white point, only one DisplayPort connector, external power supply
Verdict: Why 120/144 Hz and G-Sync would be interesting at all is something we will have to elaborate beforehand, because it's only when one understands the problem that the possible solution can be accepted. The first FCAT measurements showed the problems.

4.5
Pros: + Outstanding visual quality, + G-Sync noticeably improves gameplay, + Sleek design
Cons: - Limited to only one input
Verdict: Whenever I see a product from ASUS' Republic Of Gamers (ROG) lineup, I know that it means serious business. They don't just stamp it on everything that they make, and the ROG lineup of products is specifically tailored to the rather finicky gamer market.

Asus ROG Swift PG278Q 144hz G-Sync Monitor (w/ GTX 780Ti ROG Matrix)

4.8
Pros: Super smooth motion at the highest settings, well thought out interface system – we love the nipple/joystick system, build quality, strongest, most versatile monitor stand system we have seen, very good ‘out of the box' setup
Cons: The cost will be too prohibitive for many, AMD users will need to buy Nvidia hardware to take advantage of G-SYNC, Be prepared to invest in expensive graphics hardware if you want consistent 100+ frame rates at 1440p in the latest DX11 games, Only $799 in America but £720 in UK ($1235)
Verdict: Today we review the highly anticipated Asus ROG Swift PG278Q. This 27 inch Nvidia G-SYNC monitor runs at WQHD 2560×1440 resolution, features a 144hz refresh rate and a 1ms (gtg) response time to cater to the most demanding gamer.

Good deal on one of the best gaming monitors there is

5.0
Pros: -2560x1440 resolution, which offers a ton of visual fidelity for games, but not so much that you need to spend $1000 on your graphics cards for smooth gameplay as is the case with 4k gaming and a 1080 or SLI setup.
Cons: I cannot complain too much when I am saving $240+ compared to the retail price, which allowed me to squeeze this premium monitor into my budget. However, the connector ribbon for the LED lighting in the base of the stand was severed when I opened the package.
Verdict: I would definitely recommend this or the IPS version if you can splurge on a gaming monitor with these features. As for TN vs IPS, I experienced both monitors at a retail store before making my purchase.

"Revolutionary monitor totally worth the money!"

4.0
Pros: 144Hz, 1440p, looks amazing and everything feels wonderful
Cons: It's expensive and you'll need a good screen card to get the max out of it
Verdict: If you're playing video games on a high level, this is the sort of monitor you dream about! I had a 27 inch monitor 1080p, it works fine with 24 inch or less, but if you're going big, like with 27 inch, go with something more than 1080p, or else you can see the pixels, which you definently dont...

ASUS RoG SWIFT PG278Q 27-inch G-SYNC Monitor Review

Pros: 27-inches, 144Hz, and 2560×1440. There's a lot to love about this package, G-SYNC is a fantastic technology. You won't want to live without it after using it for a while, Turbo button for on-the-fly refresh rate testing, or necessity, is a nice touch, The display has great aesthetics, GamePlus'...
Cons: Only a single video connector: DisplayPort, No built-in speakers, if that matters to you, Carries a price premium, and is ridiculously hard to find in stock
Verdict: ASUS is offering gamers a lot with its RoG SWIFT PG278Q. Not only does this 27-inch monitor boast a 1440p resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA's G-SYNC technology is included to help give you the smoothest gaming experience possible. Is that something that matters? You bet.
